Pueblo County Has Decreased in Residential Real Estate Ownership by 3.4%, As the 2010 Census Reports

According to the 2010 Census, Pueblo County, Colorado decreased in total number housing units by 10,600, or 18%, (since the 2000), while the State of Colorado increased in total real estate dwellings by 404,861, or 18%.

Measured against the US, Pueblo County has a high level of vacancy in residential real estate. 6,554, or 9.4%, currently are unoccupied in Pueblo County, Colorado. Of these 6,554 vacant properties, 17.0% are for sale on the real estate market, while 32.4% are trying to be rented.

                                     

From 2000 to 2010, housing units occupied by owners in Pueblo County have decreased by 3.4%. According to the 2010 Census, there were 42,248 (67.1%) owner-occupied units, while 20,724 (32.9%) units were rented. Pueblo County has a smaller portion of rented units than the State of Colorado, which was reported as having 34.5% of residential properties rented.
