Telfair County Has Fallen Off in Ownership Residential Property by 7.4%, According to the 2010 Census

The recent 2010 Census Bureau reports Telfair County, Georgia decreased in number of total housing units by 2,214, or 44%, (since the 2000), while the State of Georgia increased in total real estate dwellings by 807,064, or 20%.

Compared against the United States, Telfair County has a medium amount of unoccupied residential real estate. 1,754, or 24.0%, of housing units are currently vacant in Telfair County, Georgia. Of these 1,754 unoccupied housing units, 6.4% are on the real estate market for sale, while 14.8% are trying to be rented.

                                     

Between 2000 and 2010, owner-occupied units in Telfair County have decreased by 7.4%.
