Latah County Has Fallen Off in Ownership Residential Property by 2.5%, Between 2000 and 2010

According to data from the 2010 Census, Latah County, Idaho decreased in number of dwellings by 2,150, or 16%, (since the 2000), while the State of Idaho increased in housing units by 139,972, or 21%.

When Measured against the US, Latah County has a low level of vacancy in residential real estate. 1,280, or 8.0%, of housing units are currently vacant in Latah County, Idaho. Among these 1,280 vacant housing units, 11.6% are listed to be sold, while 34.7% are listed for lease.

                                     

Owner-occupied units from 2000 to 2010 in Latah County have decreased by 2.5%. By 2010, there were 8,265 (56.2%) owner-occupied housing units, while there were 6,443 (43.8%) residential properties were being rented. Latah County has a greater amount of rentals than the State of Idaho, which was reported as having 30.1% of the housing units occupied by renters.
