Payette County Has Fallen Off In Owner-Occupied Residential Real Estate by 1.6%, Since the Year 2000

Recently reported by the 2010 Census, Payette County, Idaho decreased in total real estate dwellings by 996, or 13%, since the 2000 Census. At the same time, the State of Idaho increased in total real estate dwellings by 139,972, or 21%.

Measured against the US, Payette County has a very low amount of vacant housing units. 683, or 7.6%, are currently vacant in Payette County, Idaho. Broken down, of the 683 unoccupied housing units, 24.3% are on the real estate market to be sold, while 29.7% are listed for lease.

                                     

Between 2000 and 2010, residential properties occupied by owners in Payette County have decreased by 1.6%. According to the 2010 Census, there were 5,989 (72.5%) owner-occupied housing units, while there were 2,273 (27.5%) units were rented. Payette County has a smaller amount of rentals than the State of Idaho, which the Census reported had 30.1% of the housing units rented.
