Jefferson County Has Dropped in Real Estate Ownership by 1.7%, As Reported in the 2010 Census

The recent 2010 Census Bureau reports Jefferson County, Illinois increased in total real estate dwellings by 36, or 0%, since the 2000 Census. At the same time, the State of Illinois increased in total housing units by 411,100, or 8%.

Measured against the United States, Jefferson County has a low level of vacancy in housing units. 1,589, or 9.4%, are currently vacant in Jefferson County, Illinois.
