Union County Has Dropped in Terms of Housing Units Occupied by Owners by 1.6%, Since Reported Values in 2000

According to the 2010 Census, Union County, New Jersey decreased in total real estate dwellings by 6,544, or 3%, (since the 2000), while the State of New Jersey increased in housing units by 243,287, or 7%.

Compared against the United States, Union County has a medium amount of unoccupied residential properties. 11,371, or 5.7%, are currently vacant in Union County, New Jersey. Among these 11,371 unoccupied units, 18.1% are listed to be sold, while 44.0% are listed for lease.

                                     

From 2000 to 2010, owner-occupied residential properties in Union County have decreased by 1.6%.
