Monroe County Has Sank in Residential Property Ownership by 3.2%, Since Reported Values in 2000

According to data from the 2010 Census, Monroe County, Tennessee decreased in total real estate dwellings by 3,500, or 20%, (since the 2000 census), during the same time, the State of Tennessee increased in housing dwelling units by 372,690, or 13%.

When Measured against the US, Monroe County has a very low amount of unoccupied residential real estate. 3,076, or 14.8%, currently are unoccupied in Monroe County, Tennessee. Among the 3,076 unoccupied housing units, 12.0% are for sale on the real estate market, while 18.5% are listed in the rental market.
