Putnam County Has Declined in Residential Property Ownership by 3.6%, Since 2000

The 2010 Census reports Putnam County, Tennessee decreased in total real estate dwellings by 4,966, or 18%, (since the 2000), while the State of Tennessee increased in residential properties by 372,690, or 13%.

When Measured against the US, Putnam County has a very low level of vacancy in residential real estate. 2,952, or 9.3%, of properties are currently vacant in Putnam County, Tennessee. Among these 2,952 unoccupied housing units, 13.7% are on the real estate market to be sold, while 35.5% are listed in the rental market.

                                     

From 2000 to 2010, housing units occupied by owners in Putnam County have decreased by 3.6%.
