Orleans County Has Enlarged in Housing Ownership by 1.5%, (2010 Census)

The recent 2010 Census Bureau reports Orleans County, Vermont decreased in number of dwellings by 1,489, or 10%, since 2000. During the same period, the State of Vermont increased in total real estate dwellings by 28,157, or 9%.

When Measured against the US, Orleans County has a very low amount of unoccupied residential real estate. 4,842, or 30.0%, are reported as unoccupied units in Orleans County, Vermont. Among the 4,842 unoccupied units, 3.8% are on the real estate market to be sold, while 5.6% are trying to be rented.
