Braxton County Has Fallen Off in Real Estate Ownership by 3.2%, According to the 2010 Census

The recent 2010 Census Bureau reports Braxton County, West Virginia decreased in number of total housing units by 41, or 1%, (since the 2000), while the State of West Virginia increased in total real estate dwellings by 37,294, or 4%.

When compared to the United States, Braxton County has a very low level of vacancy in residential housing. 1,415, or 19.1%, currently are unoccupied in Braxton County, West Virginia. Among these 1,415 unoccupied housing units, 3.7% are listed to be sold, while 7.6% are listed for lease.

                                     

From 2000 to 2010, owner-occupied residential properties in Braxton County have decreased by 3.2%.
