Douglas County Has Fallen Off in Residential Real Estate Ownership by 2.1%, (2010 Census)

According to data from the 2010 Census, Douglas County, Wisconsin decreased in total number housing units by 2,469, or 12%, (since the 2000), while the State of Wisconsin increased in housing dwelling units by 303,214, or 12%.

Compared against the United States, Douglas County has a very low amount of unoccupied residential properties. 4,270, or 18.7%, of housing units are currently vacant in Douglas County, Wisconsin. Broken down, of the 4,270 vacant housing units, 5.9% are listed to be sold, while 7.3% are reported as being listed for rented.

                                     

From 2000 to 2010, housing units occupied by owners in Douglas County have decreased by 2.1%.
